Kids' Basketball Camps
The Portland Trail Blazers host three kids' basketball camps during the holiday season. The camps are open to kids ages 8-13, with every participant receiving a pair of tickets to an upcoming Trail Blazers game, a camp jersey and other Trail Blazers surprises.
The season will tip-off with an inaugural All-Girls Hoops Camp, which will span two days and cost $100 per camper, Nov. 28, 9 a.m. to noon at the Rose Garden; and Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Portland Community College-Cascade Campus.
On Dec. 13, the team offers a one-day Shooting Hoops Camp, also for $100 per camper. This camp will focus exclusively on the teaching of proper shooting fundamentals, from mechanics to technique, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PCC-Cascade Campus.
The holiday camp season concludes with a two-day Holiday Hoops Camp, highlighted by appearances and instruction from Trail Blazers players and ambassadors. The camp, a perfect Christmas gift, is $250 per camper. It runs Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Portland Community College-Cascade Campus, and Dec. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rose Garden.

Roundtable on Marriage Ban
The Unity Project of Oregon plans a roundtable discussion on the gay marriage ban in California, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m. at the Think Tank, Courtyard Room, Jupiter Hotel, 800 East Burnside St.
The Media has placed much attention on the minority vote and role of other constituencies in this campaign. With divisive language and questionable reporting, the public is jumping to conclusions.
We want to bring our community together to discuss what took place in California, share accurate and updated information, and most importantly brainstorm ways we can move forward.
Participants include Portland Latino Gay Pride, Unity Project of Oregon, Basic Rights Oregon, Q Center, Human Rights Campaign, Metropolitan Community Church, Equity Foundation, NW Gender Alliance, and Pride Foundation.
